Today, I want to talk to you about greatness and how it can be achieved by putting your confidence in God's promises. In Philippians 4:11–13, the apostle Paul writes:
"I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
In this passage, we see that Paul had the ability to be content in any situation, whether he was in need or had plenty. He learned the secret of being content through putting his confidence in God's promises. And in doing so, he was able to accomplish great things for the kingdom of God.
As believers, we too can achieve greatness by putting our confidence in God's promises. We can learn to be content in any situation, knowing that God is with us and will give us the strength to endure. We can trust in his promises to provide for our needs and to guide us on the right path.
So, if you're feeling discouraged or unsure of yourself today, remember to put your confidence in God's promises. Trust that he has a plan for your life and that he will give you the strength to accomplish great things for his kingdom.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord, we thank you for your promises and for the strength that you give us to accomplish great things. Help us to put our confidence in you and to be content in all circumstances. Guide us on the right path and give us the courage to follow where you lead. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
