From Now On, I’m Transformed
2 Corinthians 5:16
Have you ever thought about what it means to be truly transformed? As believers, transformation isn't just a nice idea; it's our new reality. When we come to Christ, everything changes – not just the way we think, but the way we live and how we see the world around us.
In 2 Corinthians 5:16, Paul says, “So from now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.” The Apostle is urging us to see ourselves and others through the lens of transformation.
The Turning Point: A New Perspective
The moment we accept Christ marks a turning point in our lives. This is the moment when we step away from the old life, which no longer gives spiritual nourishment, and step into a new life filled with the power and blessings of God. Without this turning point, we risk staying stuck in a life that is spiritually dry and malnourished.
The Old Life: Lack of Spiritual Nourishment
Before transformation, our spiritual life was like a barren tree—no growth, no fruit. But now, having encountered Christ, we're called to grow and bear fruit. To do this, we need spiritual nourishment from God. This nourishment comes from studying His Word, praying, and living according to His will.
The New Life: Walking in Transformation
From now on, everything we do must come from our transformed life in Christ. We no longer see the world through the same old, worldly lens. Instead, we see it as God does, full of potential for grace, growth, and new beginnings. This transformation empowers us to live out our purpose in ways we never could before.
So, from now on, let’s walk in the transformation God has given us. Let's embrace our new perspective, nourish our spiritual lives, and see ourselves and others as God sees us: transformed and made new.
Reflection Questions:
1.How has your perspective changed since coming to Christ?
2.What areas of your life still need spiritual nourishment?
2.In what ways can you live out your transformation today?
