Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Kalamazoo is a Christ-centered church committed to preaching the Word of God, encouraging believers, and serving our community with faith, integrity, and love.
Founded in 2021, Pleasant Hill exists to be a place where lives are strengthened through sound biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, and genuine Christian fellowship.
Our Pastor
Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Kalamazoo is led by Pastor Steven T. Morrow, Senior Pastor.
Pastor Steven T. Morrow has been faithfully serving in ministry for over 14 years. He has a deep love for the Word of God and a sincere passion for encouraging people in their faith and daily walk with Christ.
Pastor Morrow’s preaching and teaching are grounded in Scripture, relevant to day-to-day life, and focused on helping believers strengthen their spiritual growth and their Christian education.
Pastor Steven T. Morrow holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity, with a minor in Biblical Studies and a minor in Christian Philosophy. He is currently working toward a dual Master’s and Doctorate degree.
In 2025, Pastor Morrow was inspired to take his sermons and write them into song lyrics. He refers to himself as an exegetical songwriter, using music as another way to teach, encourage, and reinforce biblical truth. Pastor Steven T. Morrow is also the author of a preaching manual titled The Propositional Preaching Framework, created to equip preachers with tools for clear, biblically faithful, and effective sermon development.
First Lady Amie Morrow
First Lady Amie Morrow has been Pastor Morrow’s backbone in the planting and development of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. From the earliest days of the church, she has faithfully served behind the scenes to ensure the ministry operates with excellence, organization, and creativity.
First Lady Amie Morrow oversees the church’s administrative, creative, and organizational operations. She is highly skilled in management and organization and brings a thoughtful, steady presence to every aspect of church life.
In addition to her administrative leadership, First Lady Amie Morrow is gifted with a heavenly singing voice and uses her musical talent to uplift and encourage through worship.
Pastor Steven T. Morrow and First Lady Amie Morrow have been married for 20 years and are blessed with a full family of seven children. Together, they serve as a model of partnership, faith, and commitment to both family and ministry.
