Pastor Steven T. Morrow is the Senior Pastor of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and has served faithfully in ministry for over twelve years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Divinity, with a minor in Christian Education and a minor in Christian Philosophy. His life and ministry have been shaped by a deep love for Scripture, careful biblical interpretation, and a passion for preaching that brings clarity, growth, and comfort to God’s people.
Pastor Morrow is also the author of The Propositional Preaching Framework, a homiletical system designed to help preachers faithfully interpret biblical texts and communicate them with theological accuracy, clarity, and spiritual impact. His work in preaching flows from disciplined study, proper exegesis, and a commitment to handling the Word of God with integrity.
While Pastor Morrow does not claim to be a musician, performer, or traditional songwriter, he has discovered a unique calling that flows directly from his preaching ministry. Through years of studying Scripture, preparing sermons, and interpreting biblical texts, God has gifted him with the ability to take preached truth and express it through song. These songs are not written for entertainment, but as an extension of the preached Word—sermons translated into melody, lyrics, and worship.
Pastor Morrow refers to this calling as exegetical songwriting—a process where songs are born from Scripture first, shaped by proper interpretation, and rooted in the same biblical truths that are preached from the pulpit. Each “sermon song” begins with a studied text, a preached message, and a central biblical truth before ever becoming music.
He has been married to his wife, Lady Amie, for over twenty years, and together they are the proud parents of seven children. By profession, Pastor Morrow is an entrepreneur; by calling, a pastor; and by assignment, an exegetical songwriter—faithfully using every gift God has entrusted to him for the glory of God and the edification of His people.
