Strength for Today
Psalm 27:1
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
🌼 Devotional Thought
Family, every morning doesn’t feel the same. Some days begin with joy, and other days begin with weight. But Psalm 27 reminds us of something powerful:
Strength is not something you have to produce — it is something God provides.
David didn’t say, “I’m strong enough to handle this.” He didn’t say, “I can get through this on my own.” He declared: “The Lord is the strength of my life.”
This means:
- You don’t walk into this day empty.
- You don’t fight today’s battles alone.
- You don’t face today’s challenges with your own limited power.
You walk into today with Heaven backing you, guiding you, and strengthening you. Lift your head. Breathe deeply. Let God carry what you can’t.
💬 Reflection for Today
- Where am I leaning on my own strength instead of God’s strength?
- Which fear is trying to speak louder than God’s promises?
- How can I remind myself throughout the day that God is my light?
🙏 Prayer
“Lord, thank You for being my strength today. Lead me, guide me, and steady me. Remove fear from my heart and replace it with confidence in Your presence. Fill me with Your peace and Your light. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
