Scripture Focus: Psalm 34:19 (KJV)
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
Pain is something every believer encounters. Sometimes it is pain caused by others, and sometimes it is pain we carry because of our own decisions. Psalm 34:19 does not deny the reality of suffering, nor does it suggest that faith eliminates hardship. Instead, it offers an honest picture of the believer’s journey.
Scripture teaches that even the righteous experience many afflictions. Following God does not remove difficulty, but it does change how we endure it. This verse reminds us that we are not equipped to carry pain alone. Without God’s strength, affliction can overwhelm us, shape our identity, or cause us to give up altogether.
The promise of Psalm 34:19 is not instant escape, but divine deliverance. God sustains us through pain and brings us out in His perfect timing. His deliverance may come through healing, growth, endurance, or renewed faith—but it always comes with purpose.
Here is the good news: when God delivers us, we do not come out the same. We come out stronger, wiser, and better prepared. What once wounded us becomes something we can face again without being defeated by it.
You are built for the trouble. You are built for this.
That truth inspired the song below, written as a reminder that God equips His people with the strength they need to endure what life brings. This song reflects the message of Psalm 34:19—endurance through faith and confidence in God’s delivering power.
