“When You’ve Been Through the Night… Joy Is Coming | Gospel Worship Song”

Joy in the Morning: A Gospel Song for Your Darkest Season

Joy in the Morning: A Gospel Song for Your Darkest Season

There are moments in life when the night feels longer than it should. Seasons where the weight of disappointment, grief, uncertainty, or spiritual fatigue seems to stretch endlessly. In those moments, it can feel like joy is distant—almost unreachable. But the truth of Scripture, and the testimony of faith, tells a different story.

Joy in the Morning is more than just a gospel song—it is a declaration of hope, a reminder of God’s faithfulness, and a spiritual anchor for anyone walking through a dark season. It speaks directly to the heart of those who are holding on, believing that what they are going through is not the end of their story.

The Biblical Foundation of Hope

This song is deeply rooted in the promise found in Psalm 30:5:

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

This verse is not just poetic—it is prophetic. It acknowledges the reality of pain while affirming the certainty of restoration. The “night” represents those difficult seasons we all face—times of sorrow, confusion, loss, or waiting. But the “morning” represents something just as real: renewal, breakthrough, and divine intervention.

As someone who has walked with people through grief, uncertainty, and spiritual struggle, I can tell you this—Scripture does not deny your pain, but it never lets pain have the final word.

Understanding the Midnight Season

The “midnight season” is a powerful spiritual metaphor. It represents the point where things feel darkest—when answers are unclear, prayers seem unanswered, and strength feels depleted.

In these moments, many people ask:

  • “Where is God?”
  • “Why is this taking so long?”
  • “Will things ever change?”

These questions are not signs of weak faith—they are part of the human experience. Even throughout the Bible, we see faithful men and women wrestle with the silence of God in difficult seasons.

But what Joy in the Morning does is shift the perspective. It reminds us that midnight is not permanent—it is a transition point. Midnight is not the end of the clock; it is the beginning of a new day.

A Song That Speaks to Real Life

This gospel song was created for real people facing real challenges. It is for:

  • The person grieving a loss they didn’t expect
  • The individual battling anxiety or depression
  • The believer waiting on God to answer a long-standing prayer
  • The family trying to hold things together when everything feels like it’s falling apart

Joy in the Morning becomes a soundtrack for endurance. It doesn’t pretend the night isn’t hard—it acknowledges the weight— but it also lifts your eyes toward what’s coming.

That’s what makes it powerful.

The Role of Faith in Difficult Seasons

Faith is not just about believing when things are good—it is about trusting when things are unclear.

One of the central messages behind Joy in the Morning is that God gives us the strength to endure, even when we don’t yet see the outcome. This aligns with a deeper theological truth: endurance is often the pathway to transformation.

When you hold on through the night, something is happening within you:

  • Your faith is being strengthened
  • Your perspective is being refined
  • Your dependence on God is deepening

You may not see it in the moment, but the process is producing something valuable.

God’s Mercy Meets You in the Morning

One of the most powerful themes in this message is the idea that God’s mercy is not absent in the night—it is preparing to meet you in the morning.

Morning represents:

  • New beginnings
  • Fresh grace
  • Renewed strength
  • Divine turnaround

The same God who allowed you to walk through the night is the God who has already prepared your morning.

And here’s the key: morning always comes.

It may not come on your timeline, but it will come according to God’s faithfulness.

A Testimony, Not Just a Song

Joy in the Morning is not just a musical expression—it is a testimony. It reflects the lived reality of those who have walked through difficult seasons and come out on the other side.

Testimonies matter because they build faith. When you hear that someone else endured their night and saw God bring them into the morning, it reminds you that your story is still being written.

This song stands as a witness:

  • That pain does not last forever
  • That darkness does not have the final say
  • That God is still working, even when you can’t see it

Why This Message Matters Today

In a world where many people are silently struggling, messages like this are more important than ever. Mental health challenges, financial stress, broken relationships, and spiritual fatigue are realities many face daily.

What people need is not just inspiration—they need truth anchored in something greater than emotion.

That’s what makes this message trustworthy. It offers hope without pretending hardship is easy. It speaks to lived experience, stands on biblical truth, and points people back to the faithfulness of God.

Holding On Until Morning

If you are in a midnight season right now, here is the encouragement:

  • Don’t give up
  • Don’t lose hope
  • Don’t let the darkness convince you that it’s permanent

Your current situation is not your final destination.

There is something powerful about simply holding on. Sometimes faith doesn’t look like shouting—it looks like surviving. It looks like waking up one more day, praying one more prayer, believing one more time.

And that is enough.

Final Encouragement

Joy in the Morning is ultimately a call to endure with expectation. It reminds us that no matter how heavy the night feels, it has an expiration date.

God sees you.

God is with you.

And God is already preparing your morning.

So if you find yourself in a dark season, let this message settle in your spirit:

The night will not last forever. Joy is on the way.

Pressed But Not Broken – A Gospel Song About Faith and Perseverance

“Pressed But Not Broken” is an original gospel song about faith, perseverance, and the sustaining power of God’s grace and mercy.

This gospel encouragement song reminds us that when life brings pressure, trials, and seasons that feel overwhelming, we may be pressed — but by the grace of God, we are not broken.

Inspired by the spirit of 2 Corinthians 4:8, this testimony declares that God’s grace can carry us through any struggle. Even when trouble surrounds us, the Lord is still able to hold us together.

This song speaks to anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by life, burdened by hardship, or surrounded by trouble, yet discovered that God was still keeping them.

The Message Behind the Song

The message of this song is simple but powerful:

Trouble may press you, but it cannot break what God is sustaining. Grace and mercy are stronger than the pressure of life.

This music is written and released by Pastor Steven T. Morrow, an independent gospel songwriter and catalog owner who owns 100% of the masters and copyrights to his music.

I’m Still Here – Gospel Song About God’s Grace

I’m Still Here – Gospel Song About God’s Grace

“I’m Still Here” is a powerful gospel testimony song about surviving life’s struggles because of the grace of God. When we look back over our lives, many of us can testify that it was not our strength that kept us — it was the hand of God carrying us through every trial, every storm, and every battle.

This song celebrates that testimony of faith. It reminds us that no matter what we have faced, the reason we are still standing today is because God has been faithful.

If you have ever gone through difficult seasons but can still say, “God kept me through it all,” then this song is for you.

The Message Behind the Song

This music is written and released as part of an independent gospel catalog built around themes of faith, encouragement, worship, and testimony.

Behind the Music: I Press On — A Gospel Song for Depression, Fear, and Midnight Battles Pastor Steven T. Morrow

Behind the Song: But I Press On — A Song for Depression, Fear, and Midnight Battles

By Pastor Steven T. Morrow
Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church | Kalamazoo, Michigan

When Faith Is Tested in the Dark

There are moments in life when faith isn’t questioned in daylight — it’s questioned at midnight.

Midnight is where depression speaks loudest. Midnight is where fear feels closest. Midnight is where prayers feel unanswered and strength feels borrowed.

But I Press On was written for those moments. This song was not created for people who have already won the battle — it was created for those still in the fight, still breathing, still believing, and still standing even when standing feels exhausting.

The Heart Behind the Song

As a pastor, I have walked alongside people in seasons where:

  • Depression tried to convince them they were alone
  • Fear whispered that tomorrow would not be better
  • Faith felt real, but fragile

What I have learned is this: Many believers do not quit God — they simply get tired.

This song is a declaration made in the middle of the struggle, not at the end.

“I made up my mind… I’m holdin’ on…”

That line reflects a spiritual decision — not driven by emotions, but anchored in trust.

Addressing Depression Without Shame

Depression is not a lack of faith. It is often the weight of carrying too much for too long.

When the song declares:

“Depression tried to drown me in the midnight hour…”

It names what many worship spaces avoid acknowledging — that believers can love God deeply and still struggle internally.

This song affirms a simple but powerful truth: God’s presence does not leave us because our strength fades. Grace does not shame weakness — it walks beside it.

Confronting Fear with Faith

Fear does not always scream. Sometimes it whispers:

  • “You’re not strong enough.”
  • “This will never change.”
  • “You’ve seen enough disappointment.”

But the song answers fear directly:

“Faith stood up and said, ‘I’ve seen enough!’”

Faith does not deny reality — it refuses to surrender hope.

Midnight Battles and Quiet Victories

Midnight battles are fought when no one is watching. No applause. No explanations. Just endurance.

The repeated confession — “But I press on…” — is not arrogance. It is survival.

Scripture reminds us:

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.”
— 2 Corinthians 4:8

🎧 Listen When You’re Going Through…

Press play when:

  • Depression feels heavy but you are still showing up
  • Fear is louder than your confidence
  • You are awake in the midnight hour with unanswered questions
  • You do not need a sermon — you need strength
  • You are not quitting, just tired

▶️ Listen: But I Press On

Let this song walk with you — not rush you.

A Pastoral Word Before You Go

If you are still here, still breathing, still believing — even quietly — that is not failure. That is faith.

You may not feel strong. You may not see tomorrow. But you pressed on today.

And today matters.

Prayer:
Lord, give me grace for the next step — not the whole journey.

I Got a Hope | Behind the Music – Steven T. Morrow

Behind the Music: I Got a Hope

Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church – Kalamazoo, Michigan

I Got a Hope is a heartfelt declaration of faith in the middle of waiting. This song was written from a place of trusting God’s promises—even when the storm has not passed and the midnight season feels long.

It reminds us that waiting is not being forgotten. Waiting is believing that God is working in places we cannot yet see.

Through every verse and every chorus, the message rises clearly: if we hold on in faith, trust God’s timing, and maintain a hopeful expectation, we will see His goodness in the land of the living.

This message is deeply connected to the faith journey shared in I Must Go Through the Midnight , where we explore how God often does His greatest work in seasons of darkness and uncertainty.

Mercy Made a Way: Behind the Music | Pastor Steven T. Morrow

Behind the Music

Mercy Made a Way

A journey of condition, mercy, and morning — told through an R&B Gospel groove.

Artist: Pastor Steven T. Morrow  •  Project: Mercy Made a Way (Album)

Some albums are created in the studio. Others are formed in real life. Mercy Made a Way is the kind of project that doesn’t rush past pain or dress hardship up in easy answers. It tells the truth: healing often begins when honesty meets mercy.

Track-by-Track Insight

My Condition

The album opens with truth. My Condition is a confession—an unfiltered acknowledgment of brokenness, weakness, and need. The song centers on the idea that recognizing our condition is not defeat; it’s the doorway to grace. When truth is spoken, mercy has room to move.

In the Moment

This track lives in the tension of now. In the Moment reminds listeners that pain can be real without being permanent. Even when answers are unclear and strength feels low, hope can still be chosen. It’s a declaration of faith that refuses to surrender control to fear.

This Love Right Here

Rooted in the truth of God’s unconditional love, this song anchors the album theologically and emotionally. In a world marked by indifference and broken systems, This Love Right Here points back to the love that builds, saves, restores, and transforms—not because we earned it, but because God chose to give it.

Thank You for Your Mercy

This song is reflection turned into gratitude. Looking back over life’s storms, Thank You for Your Mercy acknowledges that survival wasn’t the result of perfection, but of God’s lovingkindness. Mercy didn’t just intervene once—it carried the journey.

Joy in the Morning

The album closes where hope becomes visible. Joy in the Morning doesn’t rush past the night; it honors the endurance required to get through it. Joy arrives not as denial of what happened, but as proof that mercy kept its promise.

Why R&B Gospel?

The sound of Mercy Made a Way is intentionally rooted in R&B gospel because this story needed room to breathe. R&B allows vulnerability. It allows reflection. It allows testimony to feel personal instead of performative.

This album is meant to be played late at night, early in the morning, in the car, in quiet prayer, and in moments of personal reflection. It’s music for people who are still healing—and for those who can now say, “God brought me through.”

The Meaning Behind the Title

Joy came in the morning—but mercy made the way there.

  • When strength ran out, mercy stepped in.
  • When answers were unclear, mercy stayed present.
  • When change was needed, mercy opened the door.

A Final Word

Mercy Made a Way is more than an album—it’s a witness. It stands as a reminder that no condition is final, no night is endless, and no struggle is wasted when placed in God’s hands.

If this music meets you in a hard moment, let it remind you: you’re not alone, you’re not finished, and mercy is already at work.

After Christ in Your Life (ACL): Reviving and Sustaining Your Faith-church near me -Pastor Steven T. Morrow

After Christ in Your Life (ACL): Reviving and Sustaining Your Faith

Faith doesn’t disappear overnight—it fades when it’s neglected. Many believers begin their journey strong, passionate, and committed, yet over time life pressures, disappointments, and distractions can slowly push Christ from the center of daily living. The question isn’t do you believe, but what comes after Christ enters your life?

In this inspiring sermon, Pastor Steven T. Morrow explores the powerful theme “After Christ in Your Life (ACL)”, calling believers to examine how faith is lived out beyond the moment of salvation. This message speaks directly to those who desire a faith that doesn’t merely survive hard seasons—but thrives in them.

What Does “After Christ” Really Mean?

Pastor Morrow challenges a common misconception: that salvation is the finish line. Biblically, salvation is the starting point. After Christ enters your life, there must be growth, discipline, obedience, and transformation.

Drawing from Scripture, this message emphasizes that:

  • Faith must be maintained, not just proclaimed
  • Spiritual growth requires intentional connection with Christ
  • A living faith shows up in daily decisions, not just Sunday worship

The Christian life is not sustained by emotion alone, but by consistent relationship with Jesus Christ.

Faith That Thrives in Every Season

One of the central truths of this sermon is that faith must be resilient. Trials don’t destroy faith—they reveal whether it has been cultivated. Pastor Morrow reminds believers that spiritual maturity comes from remaining connected to Christ in every season: joy, loss, waiting, and uncertainty.

This message encourages believers to ask:

  • Am I growing closer to Christ or drifting?
  • Is my faith active or passive?
  • What spiritual habits am I maintaining after salvation?

Life Application: Living Out ACL

This sermon invites reflection and action. Faith after Christ means:

  • Prioritizing prayer and Scripture
  • Remaining accountable within the body of Christ
  • Allowing God to shape character, not just comfort

When Christ remains central, faith doesn’t weaken—it deepens.

Behind the Music: I Gotta Feeling-church near me

Behind the Music: I Gotta Feeling

There are songs that entertain, and then there are songs that testify. “I Gotta Feeling” was written from the second place—the space where faith begins to rise before circumstances change. Long before doors open, before storms calm, and before answers arrive, there is often a quiet assurance deep in the spirit that God is already at work.

That feeling is where this song lives.

When Faith Speaks Before Evidence Appears

“I got a feelin’ something’s stirring in me… something’s shifting in me… something’s ’bout to move.”

This lyric captures a spiritual reality many believers know well: breakthrough rarely announces itself loudly at first. It begins internally—a stirring, a holy restlessness that refuses to settle for defeat. It’s the tension that whispers, this season is not over yet.

“I Gotta Feeling” was born in that space—when faith speaks before proof shows up. It doesn’t deny struggle; it simply refuses to let struggle have the final word.

Closed Doors Don’t Mean Final Answers

“Every door that was closed is opening wide again.”

This line reflects the testimony behind the song. Seasons of waiting, disappointment, and silence can convince us that God has moved on—or that we’ve missed our moment. Scripture consistently points us back to this truth: God is a God of timing, not haste.

What feels delayed is often being developed.

“I Gotta Feeling” speaks directly to those who have prayed, served, trusted, and waited—and are now sensing that God is revisiting what once looked finished. Not because it was earned, but because God is faithful.

Praise as a Spiritual Response — Not a Circumstance

“There’s a whisper in my spirit tellin’ me to bless His name, in every situation, even when life gets heavy.”

The pre-hook reveals a core truth of the song: praise is not a reaction—it’s a decision. Worship becomes the doorway through which renewal enters.

Life does get heavy. Faith doesn’t ignore that reality. It chooses to lift God’s name anyway. That whisper in the spirit is the Holy Spirit reminding us that joy hasn’t disappeared—it’s being renewed.

A Bigger God in the Middle of Real Trouble

“My God is bigger than my trouble—bigger than the storm.”

The hook declares what the verses sense internally: God’s greatness outweighs every challenge. This is not surface-level encouragement; it’s a theological declaration shaped by lived experience.

Storms are real. Trouble is real. But so is a sovereign God who remains present in the middle of both.

As the choir responds, the song becomes communal—because breakthrough is rarely meant to be experienced alone. Faith multiplies when it’s shared.

When the Spirit Begins to Rise Again

“Let my faith keep stirring up these feelings… my spirit’s rising again!”

This is the turning point of the song. What started as a feeling becomes a declaration. What began quietly now rises boldly. Hope returns—not because everything is fixed, but because faith has found its footing again.

Sometimes the greatest miracle is not the change around us, but the strength restored within us.

“I Gotta Feeling” as a Living Testimony

“Breakthrough’s about to be released.”

The vamp and tag are not predictions—they are proclamations. This song was written for worship spaces, personal prayer moments, and seasons where believers need language for what they sense but cannot yet explain.

“I Gotta Feeling” is for anyone experiencing awakening after weariness, movement after stagnation, and hope after heaviness.

Final Reflection

Behind the music of “I Gotta Feeling” is a simple but powerful truth: God often signals breakthrough before we see it. That signal may come as a whisper, a stirring, or a holy feeling that refuses to fade.

If you’re in that place right now—where something feels like it’s shifting—this song is your reminder: your season may already be opening.

🎵 Listen to “I Gotta Feeling” and experience the sound of faith rising again.

God is Keeping Me

Message by Pastor Steven T. Morrow • Scripture: 1 Peter 1:4–5

Life will test your stability—emotionally, spiritually, and practically. This message reminds us that our security is not built on what we can control, but on what God has promised and what God preserves. If you need reassurance, strength, and a faith anchor that holds when life is shaking, this word is for you.

Key Scripture

1 Peter 1:4 — To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

1 Peter 1:5 — Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Message Summary

Peter reminds believers that God has given us an inheritance that cannot be corrupted, stained, or diminished. And the same God who reserves the promise also reserves the people—keeping us by His power as we trust Him. This is not “positive thinking.” This is covenant security.

Key Takeaways

  • God’s promise is protected. What God has for you is not fragile.
  • Your faith is not held by your strength. You are kept by God’s power as you keep trusting Him.
  • Salvation is both present and future. God is working now, and He will reveal the fullness later.
  • Hope changes how you suffer. Trials don’t cancel your inheritance—they refine your focus.
